Poseidon in Koblenz

Have been here several times and can only recommend it to the Greeks. The restaurant is located in a beautiful street in the old town. The ambience is nice, the interior is elegant and clean. Staff are very friendly. The waiting time is not long, the food comes in a decent serving and tastes really good. The grill plate for 2 people is really delicious here, as you can try everything from Greek cuisine. The restaurant is also very reasonably priced, it is much cheaper than the Greek at the train station.

Great service even during Corona times, food to pick up and very tasty, 1a quality therefore highly recommended, please support so that you can still eat there after Corona. Hence my addition at this point. Keep it up, we are happy to support such good service and quality.

Very nice restaurant, found by chance on the way from the excursion boat to the parking garage. Very large, including a rich daily menu, on which everyone can find something - at very fair prices. Very tasty food including an ouzo at the end.

We were there with 5 friends. Nice staff, delicious meat dishes and good ouzo. We'd love to come back.

During a weekend trip with friends in Koblenz, we came to the restaurant by chance ... Luckily! Clean and friendly as always with the Greeks ... But the food was above average! All 3 dishes with before and after hand were absolutely a treat for the palate. Very highly recommended.

Very good food, but waiting 45 minutes until the first drink is served is clearly too long and after my little water with the wine did not come with me, I pointed it out to the waiter he just left without comment ..... At some point he still has it but I haven't seen such bad service in a long time

The lamb chops are awesome. The sole is also highly recommended. 4 stars only because of the long wait for the staff.

Staff is nice. Food was really good in taste. Salad was served with the meal. There was no bread with dip as we know it from the north. There was an ouzo beforehand. We had to wait a long time for the food, but it was hot and fresh.

After visiting Poseidon three times, it's time to post a review. In the somewhat difficult times - Corona-, the restaurant fully complied with the hygiene requirements. Distance, the registration of the guests was preserved. The staff all wore mouth and nose protection, they were happy and knew what they were doing, professional ?. Shortly after ordering the drinks and starters came. After a reasonable waiting time, the main courses were served. These were lovingly and attractively presented, which is remarkable, they were hot and not lukewarm as is so often the case. The lamb shank on Mediterranean vegetables was a taste experience, the tzatziki is simply delicious and the salad fresh and crisp. The location is tastefully furnished and you feel comfortable. Conclusion: With such a successful evening, the price can be a little higher, which in my opinion is not the case.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately the service was very unfriendly. Starting with the fact that our order took about 15 minutes. Waiting time was accepted, no eye contact was made when taking the order, but only an annoyed waiter with a block in front of us and said "and", the orders were partly taken incorrectly, e.g. a small cyclist instead of a large one when asked it was refused to exchange this, and only said "the next one I'll bring you a big one". Overall, the friendliness and professionalism of the service really leaves something to be desired. That can be done much better :)

A few years ago, I vowed not to go into this shop anymore. Now we've tried again and were pleasantly surprised. Maybe they have a new chef, but the food is really good again. The star deduction is available for the more reserved employees who should perhaps attend a seminar for open contact with customers.

Major disappointment. I don't get this has more than 4 stars. First hassle about a reserved place outside. Impatient and grumpy waiter with little sense of hospitality and customer service. Really all meat dishes ordered were made and served dry and without pleasure. Only pros: it was ample and the fish dishes were not dry. Furthermore, when you sit outside, (freight) cars constantly drive through the car-free street. Making a reservation is useful, but not especially necessary.

The interior is bright and pleasant. The service is always friendly. The drinks were served quickly, only the food took longer. But that was more due to the chosen restaurant. Despite all that, the food was very good.

My girlfriend and I both had the Athens plate and loved the taste. The food came very quickly, the staff was very friendly and you can't complain about the price-taste ratio either. 5 Stars

My favorite Greek restaurant in Koblenz. We eat here quite often. Delicious food, generous large portions, friendly staff, prices are really good considering the quality. We arev always given a free Ouzo drink before the lunch. Great location near the old city of Koblenz. Suitable for large groups, outside seating is also available.
